What they rank for that you do not — measured, not guessed.

An in-house keyword gap engine built on Bing’s own search-count endpoint and Google’s free Programmable Search API. No keyword database subscription.

This is the part of ScopeMCP that has no equivalent in the category. A paid keyword API is the biggest recurring cost in this market and it is what forces tools into monthly plans. Two free endpoints cover the part that actually matters: real monthly search counts, and the live result page showing who ranks today.

Search volume source
Bing GetKeywordStats
Real monthly counts, rounded by the provider. Not Google volume.
Position source
Live Google SERP
Who ranks right now, not who ranked when a database was built.
Free daily quota
100 result pages
Resets at midnight UTC. Cached pages and stored snapshots do not consume it.

Before you start

What you need, and what you will not get

Requirements

  • A Google Programmable Search engine (free tier: 100 queries per day). This is the only hard requirement.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools connected if you want measured monthly search counts. Without it, demand is reported as unmeasured rather than invented.
  • Your own Search Console connection, because your observed queries are the best free demand signal.

Boundaries

The limits worth knowing before you trust an answer.

  • A confirmed gap means a competitor ranks in the checked depth and you do not. It says nothing about their traffic, revenue or authority.
  • Candidates whose result page could not be fetched come back as `unverified`. Never report those as confirmed.
  • `demandProxy` is Google’s own result-count estimate, not measured search volume. It is labelled as such everywhere it appears.
  • Share of voice covers only the keywords a run actually checked, never the whole market.

Endpoint

remote MCP endpoint
${env.appUrl}/mcp

Discovery metadata is served at /.well-known/mcp.json, so a client that supports it finds the endpoint from the domain alone.
