Competitor keyword engine with Claude Code

Register the endpoint in your project so it works in the terminal, in CI and in review sessions.

  1. 1

    Add it to .mcp.json

    Add the entry below at the root of your project, or in your user config to make it global.

  2. 2

    Approve the scope

    Claude Code will prompt the first time. Approve it to persist the config.

  3. 3

    Use an API key for CI

    Browser sessions do not exist in CI. Create a key in ScopeMCP under Settings → API keys and send it as an Authorization: Bearer header.

  4. 4

    Keep it read-only by habit

    Ask for evidence before conclusions. The tools report their own limits, so "what could this not see?" is a useful follow-up.

.mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "scopemcp": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://scopemcp.galavic.world/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Verify it works

Ask: "Run seo_diff_url on /pricing over the last 28 days and tell me whether it was ranking or CTR."

Before you connect this source

  • A Google Programmable Search engine (free tier: 100 queries per day). This is the only hard requirement.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools connected if you want measured monthly search counts. Without it, demand is reported as unmeasured rather than invented.
  • Your own Search Console connection, because your observed queries are the best free demand signal.
